CRANIAL EMBOLECTOMY

cranial stroke victim

WHEN EVERY SECOND COUNTS

Cranial Embolectomy is an emergency procedure that is performed on stroke victims to relieve symptoms of acute arterial ischemic stroke. This is a highly advanced procedure that is also minimally invasive. Our radiologists will use precision and skilled technique to remove the blockage from the bloodstream to restore adequate blood flow. This is done using a microcatheter (a very small plastic tube), and inserting it into the patient’s upper thigh using X-ray guidance. A device is then inserted through the tube to retrieve the blockage for removal.

This is an emergency, life-saving technique we are proud to be able to perform.
